Extending Work-Life Balance Initiatives

In the last decade, we have seen strong growth in published scholarly and practitioner-focused research on work–life balance initiatives which are implemented organizations to assist employees with managing their work non-work demands. Correspondingly, goal of this book chapter is twofold. First, seek take stock existing conducted initiatives, so doing, provide a comprehensive understanding impacts employees. Second, contend that despite increased practitioner attention there remains significant gap between provision promise actual uptake outcomes. We also discuss how nature these issues has changed light COVID-19 pandemic, what means for going forward. Finally, propose several areas extend hope can enhance effectiveness intended positive outcomes initiatives.
